This piece was realized in response to a call by Denis Dufour to create acoumatic works for dance. These were meant to be done during a night of  "Dance acousmatique" at the Festival de Crest in 1996. Unfortunately, this night didn't take place, and Dance suite 96 was premiered partially in Perpignan during an "Acousma-Rave" also organized by Denis Dufour.

The aim is to do a simple music, with a marked beat, yet somewhat strange.
